It's officially been a month at Wondersauce, and time has certainly flown by. It hasn't been an easy adjustment as everything is online, I try to balance school work, MAIP projects/events, and maintaining a social life.
However, the people that I've met so far at Wondersauce and MAIP, have been super welcoming, helpful and encouraging. It's great to hear other people's stories to see how they got to where they are, some who have been in the same position as me and others who started off in a different direction.
Recently, Sarah Bernal and I - the other project management intern at Wondersauce, presented to our managers, shadows and buddies, our end of the month review. We went over what we've been doing with the client projects, things we've learned, what our goals were for June and what our next goals are for July.
June Goals:
Get a better understanding of what all the roles in the team entail
Build good relationships with members at Wondersauce
Understand the role of a project manager/producer throughout the project process
July Goals:
Incorporate my work at Wondersauce into my digital portfolio
Set up meetings with specific members (one-on-ones)
Involve myself more as the project process continues
My goals are definitely tied with building my networking up, creating strong connections, increasing my knowledge about Project Management/Account Director/Producers by being more hands-on, and also becoming familiar with the other positions/roles in the team. It's important to not just learn about the specific discipline I'm doing, but to know how the other roles function as well so there's better communication and understanding within the team.
